Heart of the Highlands Trail System and its partners hosted an SCA trail crew during September and October, 2012. The crew constructed the connecting segment from the Camp 70 Bridge to the Splash Dam South Trail on the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge including a 30' footbridge. They also worked to repair the Allegheny Trail on the Canaan Mountain area south of the Canaan Loop Road building 1500' of turnpike. All of these trail segments are part of the HoH Core Loop Trail.
